Supply + Demand and Sensory Odyssey announce an international partnership.
The scientific and artistic universe of Sensory Odyssey is now rooted in the Modular Exhibit System, a technological infrastructure developed by Supply + Demand. Designed to make adaptation affordable and to optimize the international distribution of interactive projects, this model enables venues worldwide to host this sensory experience. Co-produced with the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle in Paris, this immersive experience and its technology feature unmatched operational simplicity and flexibility.
Sensory Odyssey comes to life within the MES, an open source and modular infrastructure designed by Supply + Demand, a Montreal-based creative studio specializing in interactive experiences. This turnkey approach allows for rapid and easy installation of the exceptional quality of Sensory Odyssey already experienced by more than 750,000 visitors across five cities on three continents over the past three years. Co-produced with the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle in Paris, the experience benefits from scientific curation by its internationally renowned researchers as well as their direct involvement in global marketing and distribution strategies. Audiences of all ages and interests immerse themselves in the majesty of biodiversity, see nature through nature’s own eyes, and rekindle that intimate awareness that connects us to the living world. In Sensory Odyssey visitors become participants, actors in their own journey and in their encounters with ecosystems.
Opening in 2026, the installation will offer fully active immersion with breathtaking video, enveloping sounds, subtle scents and physical sensations, contributing to awakening wonder and nurturing an intimate resonance with the fragile beauty of our planet.
“The result is breathtaking: from one room to the other, visitors experience dancing with sperm whales, foraging with a bee or flying with pink flamingos.” (Le Monde)
“In Singapore, the ArtScience Museum is the home of artistic, scientifically rooted immersive experiences, but this show really takes us to a completely different level with its theatricality.” (The Straits Times, Singapore – Honor Harger, Vice President of the ArtScience Museum)
By bringing together poetry, ecology and innovation, the Supply + Demand and Sensory Odyssey teams share the same vision: to shape sensitive and accessible experiences that reveal the profound interweaving of all forms of life and invite audiences to feel fully connected to the living world. The launch in 2026 will mark the beginning of a new era, when art and science engage in dialogue to stimulate curiosity and reveal the depth of our relationship with nature.
About:
Sensory Odyssey Studio is a French transdisciplinary collective that creates immersive experiences, inviting visitors on a multisensory journey into the heart of nature. Launched in 2021 in co-production with the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle in Paris, Sensory Odyssey opened its first iteration during an eight month-long run in 2021/2022 at the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN) in Paris followed by runs at the Art Science Museum in Singapore in early 2023, at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro in January 2024, in Beijing in April 2024 and in Toronto at the Royal Ontario Museum in June 2024, welcoming more than 750,000 paying visitors in the first three years of touring.
Supply + Demand is a Montréal-based creative studio specializing in the design and production of interactive and multimedia exhibitions. Its multidisciplinary team crafts experiences that spark emotion and inspire reflection through wonder and entertainment. The agency develops and distributes its own projects, including Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue (with over 500,000 visitors since 2024), and has collaborated with renowned institutions such as the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry (Chicago) and the Exploratorium (San Francisco). By blending analogue and digital, physical and virtual, Supply + Demand transforms spaces into dynamic environments that awaken curiosity and give visitors of all ages the sense of empowerment to influence their world.
The Modular Exhibit System is an immersive infrastructure made up of reconfigurable modules integrating scenography, projection, lighting, sound, and interactivity. Transportable, reusable, and adaptable to a wide range of venues from museums and science centres to commercial spaces and unconventional cultural sites, it offers a sustainable alternative to temporary exhibition infrastructure. The system promotes resource-sharing among institutions, facilitates the international circulation of content, and extends the lifespan of projects. A network of certified venues is already emerging, including TELUS Spark Science Centre (Calgary) and the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry (Chicago).
