Olivier Rosa

Lead Technical Director

Olivier Rosa has been active in the performing arts world since 1995, specializing in lighting design and technical direction.
He began his career as a lighting technician, hosting touring productions in a theatre, before hitting the road himself in 2001. Alongside touring, he continued to lend his expertise to a variety of technical service companies.

Over the years, Olivier has created lighting designs for a wide range of musical artists, including Chloé Ste-Marie (Je sais que tu sais, À la croisée des silences), Florence K (La historia de Lola), and Alain Morisod et les Sweet People (Ambiance coup de cœur, Bueno Sera, La Dernière séance, Jour de chance, Un rendez-vous d’amour, Laisse tomber tes problèmes), among others. He has also designed lighting for several circus productions, including work with Les 7 Doigts (Cabaret des 7 Doigts in 2010 and 2011, 20th Anniversary Party) and Krin Haglund’s show The Rendez-Vous.

In 2000, Olivier began combining the roles of lighting designer and technical director. He went on to take on both responsibilities for numerous productions and tours, such as Annie dans l’Espace by Annie Brocoli, Le Peintre des madones by Espace GO, several tours with Alain Morisod et les Sweet People, and Les 7 Doigts’ La Vie, Loft, and Traces, among others. He also served as technical director for the renowned International Balloon Festival in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu for four years. He later took on technical direction for The Rendez-Vous by Krin Haglund and Circus Incognitus by Jamie Adkins, before officially joining Les 7 Doigts as Technical Director following eight years of touring with their shows.

Within the company, his role involved close collaboration with internal production and touring teams, as well as other professionals across the circus industry, thanks to the collective’s highly collaborative approach. In 2021, he helped develop a technical training program specifically designed for technicians entering the world of circus arts without prior experience in the field.

In 2024, Olivier transitioned to lead the technical team at Supply & Demand, a sister company to Les 7 Doigts. He played a key role in delivering the Minecraft Experience in Dallas and continues to contribute to the development of the company’s Modular Exhibit System (MES).

Well respected by his peers, Olivier is known for his upbeat attitude and calm, solution-oriented approach—even under pressure. In an industry where curtain time is non-negotiable, he’s someone you can count on, backed by a strong network and a wealth of experience.
